Wedding Photography in Hamburg & Sylt

Noelle and Lauritz celebrated their wedding on the beautiful island of Sylt—one of the most iconic wedding destinations in northern Germany. Their wedding day began at Hotel Stadt Hamburg in Westerland, followed by a civil ceremony at the Sylt Standesamt and a beautiful celebration at Sunsetbeach overlooking the sea.

Hotel Stadt Hamburg is one of the most established wedding locations on Sylt. The elegant interiors and relaxed island atmosphere created the perfect setting for natural wedding photography before the ceremony. From the quiet anticipation in the morning to the beautiful moments before leaving for the Standesamt, every part of the day felt calm and full of excitement.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Sunsetbeach in Westerland. The sea, open sky, and warm evening light created a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography on Sylt. The combination of coastal atmosphere and elegant celebration always feels special here.

For this wedding I photographed with both digital and analogue film photography. Sylt and film photography work beautifully together—the soft colours of the island, the sea air, and the timeless atmosphere translate beautifully on film.
